Low flying? Not really …

This is a Qantas flight from Melbourne heading to Sydney at an altitude of 35,000ft or around 10,688 meters. Waratah’s altitude is about 500 which means the aircraft is over 10km (6.2 miles) from me. I don’t recall the arrangement of lenses I used for this particular shot, I do things that Nikon would no doubt frown upon. I used the 300mm f2.8 but I don’t know which converter I used and may even had used two giving 300(2.8) x 2 x 1.6 for the converters x 1.5 for the digital crop factor resulting in an equivalent of around 1400mm, f/13.5 to a film camera. One day, I’ll get their rego :=))
